Arrival of New Rescue Vehicle

v1 part 2

Our brand new Rescue Vehicle has been officially handed over to ourselves, which will help us save more lives on Southsea Seafront.

On Saturday 29th of March, 2 of our committee members travelled to Hereford to accept the handover of our brand new Mitsubishi Shogun. There has been a lot of modifications done to the truck over the past 3 months and we are very happy with the outcome.
Our Thanks to Fownhope Mitsubishi Hereford for doing a wonderful job, and for that we couldn’t recommend them enough. The vehicle is now back in Portsmouth and in it’s new home after our convoy of lifeguard vehicles made the 3 hour journey home.

Our rescue vehicle is one of our most important pieces of kit. From transportation of lifeguards to emergency scenes, to launching our rescue boat, Portsea Rescue 1, the vehicle is always in use, therefore it is very important that we have a vehicle that is capable of the job at hand.

The new vehicle will be on display in Palmerstone Road this Saturday 6th April, where we will be holding our annual collection. Do come down and take a look and help support your local lifeguards.
