Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards want you to help save lives in the solent!
We are looking for people of all ages to help keep the oldest beach lifeguard club in the UK open and to keep helping people in your local community.
PSVL do not only need new enthusiastic boat crew and beach lifeguards, but also shore crew who help drive vehicles.
The club are also looking for fundraisers to help with our fundraising events and collections that place during the year. These collections are fundamental to the operation of our beach lifeguard unit, and the funds that you donate go directly towards helping us save lives.
To be a boat crew or beach lifeguard, you will need to be able to complete a 200 meter swim in under 5 minutes as a minimum. After that, we are able to put you through your beach lifeguard qualification, which will see you receiving a nationally recognized beach lifeguard qualification.
Being a beach lifeguard can not only be a very rewarding experience, but enable you to meet lots of new friends along the way.
