Firstly thanks to everyone who has signed up so far for the PSVL Christmas day dip 2021. All those who have filled in an online form will now have received a confirmation email along with their allocated band number which will be given to you on the day of the dip. If you have filled in the form and not received this email, please contact us.

 
 
Following last year's cancelled event due to restrictions, the traditional dip in the sea on Christmas day is back. Although this year it will be slightly different, and no the difference won't be the water temperature...

 
 
PSVL are to make a return to winter training at the swimming pool starting 5th of October, following the end of another successful season patrolling Southsea.

 
 
PSVL are delighted to announce we have been successful in our application for a grant from the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth Community Chest Appeal 2019/20, which will go towards the funding of advanced boat courses for our crews.

 
 
We are excited to announce that Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards will be returning to Southsea Beach on the 4th of July, however the level of service we will offer will be reduced.

 
 
With RNLI lifeguards returning to multiple beaches this weekend, including 2 beaches in Southsea, we would like to remind the public that Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards will not be patrolling this weekend amid the COVID-19 outbreak, although plans are underway to resume our patrols on Southsea beach.

 
 
​Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards have made the decision to pause our lifeguard operations on Southsea beach due to Covid-19 outbreak.

 
 
Portsmouth lifeguards member of 50 years and senior coxswain Roly Warmington has been named in the Queen's New Year's honours List for his voluntary services of 50 years to Portsmouth and Southsea Voluntary Lifeguards and 40 years to Portsmouth Coastguard Rescue Team.
